I have to assume that these are some pictures from a Kabul museum, based on the headline and all…wonder if I’ll ever get to go there…might be worth asking the question of our movement team. Make it a cultural expedition.
I’m on a bit of a Pollyanna kick with these postings, or trying to bed, but today was hard. Just a lot of news stories about death, chaos, and destruction. All well and good if you’re scripting the next film about the coming apocalypse, but since I’m just tryin’ to feel the love of this place, it’s tough to dig out what’s good from the junk for a minute or to.
Need to find me another bakery story.
But the museum piece caught my eye, because a country that’s truly under siege doesn’t take much time out for the whole day at the museum thing.
For those of you at home inundated by the talking heads that just want to fill your minds with the fear of this place, mainly those talking heads who want to point out yet another Obama failure…it’s darkest before the dawn, and dawn is breaking through here, just not all over yet.
Oh boy, am I scaring myself with my own lack of pessimism.
